Hi, I'm Dan. (but you knew that!)

I am a 50-something guy living the dream in Texas. I have the best of everything and couldn't be happier. Together with Kathryn, the woman who keeps me happy, sane and rational, we have been able to forge a life I think most would envy.

As you might have guessed I'm into riding motorcycles. I've been riding for moost of my life, started out on a minibike way back in the late 60's and worked my way up to the ultimate riding machine- a Harley Davidson. I now own a 2011 Road King Classic and a 2014 Ultra Limited. I started hanging around a bunch of like minded people over on the Doof Clenas Forum, and as a result have made good friends all over this country and even a couple up in Canada.

I do a lot of riding with my good friend Ken. I met Ken a while back and he's the one who introduced me to cone riding, otherwise known as skills riding. Ken taught me that there is more to riding a motorcycle than just barrelling down the highway in a straight line. On more than one occaision, I am positive that the skills I learned from and with Ken have saved my life. Lately we have gotten into competing in Motorcycle Rodeos. It's hard work, and a ton of fun. Through that endeavor, we have met even more great people who share the same interest. We were lucky enough, with the help of an insider, to compete at the Hrley Davidson 110th anniversery in Milwaukee in August 2012. In addition to the skills riding, each year for the last 7 or 8 years Ken and I have taken one or two long trips. I think both of us have fallen in love with the western states such as Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Montana, and always seem to be drawn back to them.
